We aim to please. Village Guitars is run by two enthusiasts who have shared an interest in guitars for many years. We have tried to create a comfortable environment in our interesting shop, where you can come and browse, try the guitars, or just have a friendly chat. We stock strings, picks, cables, straps and bags, tuners etc., and also offer setting up, hire, guitar and amp repairs and guitar tuition.How about a novel treat for your loved ones ? We can set up lessons for you in confidence and provide an introductory letter which you can give as a gift.

The shop is situated in the Kentish village of Wingham, lying between Canterbury and Sandwich, within a fascinating old building parts of which date back to medieval times. The character of the building serves only to enhance the presentation of the instruments, so you will find no glitzy High Street showroom gimmicks here, just a warm welcome in pleasant and interesting surroundings. Korean built Dano '56 re-issue.. 2 Lipstick pickups enclosed machines. Bottle-shape headstock Finished in luscious deep red. Very nice condition.

Danelectro '59 re-issue double-cutaway

Korean built Danelectro '59 re-issue. Black/white scratchplate & binding Masonite/Wood frame body, Maple neck/Rosewood fretboard. Alnico lipstick pickups Dual concentric controls, 3-way selector. Very nice condition.

Caparison TAT

The Caparison TAT model features an SSH pickup layout, a master tone control with push-push centre and neck pickup coil split, master volume control and 5-Way selector switch. The TAT custom finish is applied by hand so each production model is visually unique. This example is finished in 'Frozen Sky' - This is a beautiful guitar, virtually unplayed and complete with Caparison hard case.

2009 Indonesain (Cort) built SemiHollow body G&L ASAT Tele. Natural Ash finish, shell finish pickguard This guitar is in immaculate condition and plays really well.

1984 series Japanese Strat. Black, white pickguard. Very nice condition.

Squier Telecaster Custom

Clifford Essex 5-string Banjo

Made by Clifford Essex of Bond Street London. The 'Popular' models were produced during the 1920's / 1930's This really is a lovely old instrument.

Hofner President full archtop acoustic (not currently available))

A very interesting example of an early/mid 1950's Hofner President Serial No 2689. Retro-fitted Hofner/Selmer double sliding chrome-plated combined pickups with pickguard. Complete with nicely 'worn' contoured hard-case. This guitar requires some work to bring it to a completely restored condition, but is functioning and playable as is. Sale subject to negotiation with present owner.
